We believe that parents know their child best and for us to help them to learn, achieve and be school ready we need your input. From our first meeting through to pre-visits and settling in period we need your input to gather our starting points for your child at nursery.
- We use these starting points, alongside our observations to plan and assess each child.
- At Little George’s we like to talk daily to our parents/families and often record these conversations in children’s learning journeys. We will regularly send ‘Next steps’ home and ideas on how we plan to achieve them and hope you will encourage these at home too, as well as keeping us informed of milestones and interests which happen at home.
- We also arrange termly parent meetings were parents and keypersons can discuss children’s development and next steps and also discuss any changes which may be going on at home or new family interests.
- The nursery manager and teacher are always available to advise, plan and arrange any extra support that may be required to help children achieve the early learning goals and to support all our families in providing the best care for our children.
We respect and will strive to include all families of different religious and cultural backgrounds we value your input on learning, celebrations that are important to your family and would love to try some of your home recipes.
